Job description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

MEMBERS FIRST is one of the key focus areas of our 'Own the Game' strategy and the Membership Team is central to embedding and executing this key strategic program. The strategic objective is to transform the successful membership initiative to a APAC-wide global program at scale and to fuel the growth ambitions of the company. The role will drive engagement & loyalty through constant innovation and careful curated value proposition aimed at exciting, engaging & satisfying our key consumer groups. This role will play a key role in in driving member acquisition across all adidas touch points both physical and digital. The role will work in a fast-paced, international, and highly strategic environment with many opportunities to develop and to gain exposure to and influence decision making at Senior Leadership levels. Success will rely on the ability to establish the fundamentals and then continuously evolve membership performance from strength to strength.

Key Responsibilities :


- Establish and manage the new Membership Acquisition pillar within the Organization

- Establish ways of working to drive Membership Acquisition in partnership with all cross-functional teams

Member Acquisition

- Implement channel specific playbooks to optimize and contribute to seamless journeys for membership acquisition

- Ability to identify member acquisition opportunities with ongoing campaign implementation

- Conceptualize and execute membership acquisition campaigns in collaboration with channels stakeholders

- Identify opportunities outside the own eco system to drive qualitative member growth

- Review existing membership acquisition framework across and identify opportunities

- Own and lead all initiatives within membership acquisition

- Measure against KPI's set up by the team to have the correct measurement framework

- Identify profile enrichment opportunities so that we can collect more information about our members to make their adidas experience more personalized

- Be aware of developments in PII security and laws when it comes to member information storage

- Understand and support the development framework for membership integration with 3rd parties with documentation that supports both business and technical discussions


- Track and adhere to budget for relevant categories

- Support business cases with respect to membership projects with clear rationale as and when needed

Systems and Processes

- Understanding of Membership set up, CRM systems, CRM tools, Membership analysis tools, membership campaign tools, 3rd party platform integrations

- Awareness or curiosity about best practice tools in the industry to make member acquisitions more efficient

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures

- Ability to handle ambiguity and untangle complex situations into actionable activities

- Solutions-oriented approach and entrepreneurial mindset

- Distinctive pragmatic mindset and ability to prioritize high numbers of tasks with varying workload and importance

- Strong interpersonal skills (communication, influencing, stakeholder management), especially when interacting with different levels of business

- Good numerical and analytical skills

- Solid understanding of digital landscape and KPIs

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's in Engineering/Computer Science/ Economics/Marketing/Business Administration preferred

- 8+ years of progressive Marketing/CRM/Membership/Loyalty/eCommerce experience in sports business, cosmetics, consumer goods, marketplaces, etc (Indicative)

- Experience in leading a team with a focus on people development and empowerment

- Good story telling skills

- Ability to excel in a matrix organisation

- Fast learner, proactive working attitude, and strong project management experience

- Proven ability of working with agencies Membership/Loyalty/Media/Advertising and generating excellent work from them
